Crème fraîche
Parmesan (grated)
Shredded cheese

Step 1

In a bowl, mix the crème fraîche with the parmesan & half of the shredded cheese. Season with salt & pepper.

White bread (sliced)

Step 2

Butter the bread slices on one side.

Ham (deli slices)

Step 3

Spread half of the cheese/cream mixture on 1 of the bread slices, then add the ham & top with the remaining shredded cheese.

Step 4

Close the croque-monsieur with the second slice of bread, then cover it with the rest of the cheese/cream mixture. Place the croque-monsieur in the air fryer basket with the rack & a piece of parchment paper. Air fry for 6-8 min at 200°C.

Egg

Step 5

Meanwhile, melt a knob of butter in a pan over medium heat. Crack an egg in the pan & cook for 2-3 min. Season with salt & pepper.

Spring mix lettuce

Step 6

Once the croque-madame is golden brown, take it out of the air fryer & top it with the sunny-side-up egg. Serve the croque-madame on a plate with the side of salad seasoned to taste. Enjoy!
