Strawberry French Toast

Brioche bread (sliced)
1/2
Egg
50 ml
Milk (whole)
80 g
Strawberries
2 tbsp
Sugar (granulated)

- Step 1
Wash & remove the stems from the strawberries . Slice them in halves or quarters, depending on their size. - Step 2
In a bowl, add : the strawberries & 1 teaspoon of sugar per serving. Stir & set aside in the fridge. - Step 3
In a mixing bowl, add : the eggs, milk & half of the sugar.* Whisk to combine.. *Check out our tips for this recipe - Step 4
Place the brioche slices in the eggy mixture & leave to soak generously on each side. - Step 5
Melt a dab of butter in a pan, over medium heat. Add the sliced brioche & cook for 2 min on one side. - Step 6
Sprinkle over with the remaining sugar & flip the brioche slices. Cook for another 2 min, on the other side. Set aside. - Step 7
In the same pan, melt a dab of butter. Add the strawberries & cook for 2 min, over low heat, until slightly jammy. - Step 8
Serve the warm French toast in a plat & top with the jammy strawberries. Enjoy !
Recipe tip
If you wish to reduce sugar quantities, you can remove up to ⅓ of the sugar in this recipe without altering flavor.
