Sesame Chicken with Green Beans & Rice

Chicken breast

Green beans (fresh)
100 g
Brown rice (long grain, cooked)
1 tbsp
Soy sauce
1 tsp
Toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp
Sweet chili sauce
1 tsp
Corn starch

- Step 1
Slice the chicken into pieces. Season with freshly grated pepper & sprinkle all over with corn starch. - Step 2
Prepare the sesame sauce. In a small bowl, combine : the soy sauce, sesame oil & sweet chili sauce. - Step 3
In a pot of salted boiling water, cook the green beans for 10-12 min (4-5 min if using frozen green beans). Once cooked through, drain them & keep warm. - Step 4
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan, over medium heat. Add the chicken & sear for 4-5 min, stirring, until lightly golden & crisp. - Step 5
Add the sesame sauce into the pan & toss to evenly coat. Leave to simmer for another 2-3 min for the sauce to thicken & lightly caramelise. - Step 6
Meanwhile, prepare the rice according to package instructions. - Step 7
If you have some, wash & finely slice the scallions. - Step 8
Serve the sesame chicken in a plate with the fluffy rice & green beans. Garnish with the sliced scallions (optional) & re-season to taste. Enjoy !
