  • Step 1
    Peel & thinly slice the shallots into rounds.
  • Step 2
    Wash & cut the broccoli into florets.* Finely chop the florets. *Check out our tips for this step
  • Step 3
    Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan, over medium-high heat. Add the ground sausage, removing the casing. Break up the meat with a spatula.
  • Step 4
    Add the sliced shallot to the pan & cook for 6-8 min, or until the sausage is well browned.
  • Step 5
    Meanwhile, in a pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions.
  • Step 6
    Add the broccoli to the pan with the sausage. Season with salt & pepper. Stir, then cover & cook for an additional 3-4 min.
  • Step 7
    Once cooked through, drain the pasta. Keep warm.
  • Step 8
    Uncover the pan & give it a stir. Add the drained pasta & grated parmesan cheese. Stir to combine.
  • Step 9
    Serve the pasta topped with burrata. Re-season to taste & enjoy !
