Cook the rice according to the instructions on the box. - Step 2
While the rice is cooking, cut the avocado into thin strips and remove the skin. (Optional: chop some chives) - Step 3
Add a dab of butter or a drizzle of olive oil in a pan and fry the egg for 2-3 minutes on low heat. - Step 4
Once the rice is cooked, add the soy sauce and chopped chives. Season with salt and pepper. - Step 5
Add the rice to a bowl and top with the avocado, fried egg* and chives. *Check out our tips for this step

To change things up, swap the fried egg for a soft-boiled egg & add grated carrots & sliced cucumber.
