White bread (sliced)

Ham (deli slices)

60 g
Shredded cheese

30 g
Crème fraîche

1/2 tbsp
Parmesan (grated)

5 g
Butter (salted)

- Step 1
Preheat the oven to 220°C. Mix together the crème fraîche, Parmesan & half of the grated cheese. - Step 2
Butter the bread slices on one side. - Step 3
Grease an oven-proof dish with butter. Add half of the bread slices with the buttered side facing up. - Step 4
Add the ham & the rest of the grated cheese. - Step 5
Close the croque-monsieur with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing the cheese. Cover the sandwhich with the cream/cheese mixture. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 220°C. - Step 6
Once golden brown, take the croque-monsieur out of the oven. Cut them in half. - Step 7
Serve the croque-monsieur with the side of green salad dressed to your liking. Enjoy!
