Yellow onion

Country bread (sliced)

- Step 1
Peel & slice the onions into thin rounds. - Step 2
In the Thermomix bowl, add : a dab of butter & the onions. Optional : for a thicker soup, add 1 teaspoon of flour per serving. Cook for 3 min / 100°C / reverse / speed 3. - Step 3
Add 250ml of hot water per serving & the stock cube to the Thermomix bowl. Season to taste & add a splash of white wine (optional). Stir & cook for another 25 minutes / 100°C / reverse / vitesse 'Simmering'. - Step 4
Meanwhile, place the bread on an ovenproof baking sheet, sprinkle with grated cheese and bake on grill mode until the cheese is melted. - Step 5
Serve the soup in a bowl and place the toast on top.
