One Pot Saucy Sausage & Rice

Andouille sausage (smoked)

Yellow onion

Tomatoes (canned, peeled)

White rice (long grain)

Vegetable bouillon (cube)

- Step 1
Peel then finely slice the onion. - Step 2
Cut the sausage into rounds. - Step 3
In a pan, add a drizzle of olive oil, the chopped onion and the sausage slices.* Cook for 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring. *Check out our tips for this step - Step 4
In a container, mix the vegetable stock cube with hot water (allow 150 ml of water per person). - Step 5
Once the sausages are lightly grilled, add the tomatoes, rice, vegetable stock and Provence herbs to the pan. Coarsely crush the tomatoes, pepper and mix. - Step 6
Cover and cook for about 15 minutes over low heat, checking for doneness. If necessary add water. - Step 7
Serve with a little chopped parsley if you have any. It's ready !
