  • Step 1
    If needed, defrost your beef patties. Finely chop the shallot.
  • Step 2
    Add the beef, egg, breadcrumbs, shallot, 1 spoon of parmesan per person, salt and pepper to a bowl and mix with your hands.
  • Step 3
    Make 4cm meatballs.
  • Step 4
    Cook them for 5 minutes on a hot pan with olive oil.
  • Step 5
    Turn down the heat, add the tomato sauce, a soup spoon of water per person and simmer for the duration of the next step.

    Boil the milk in a pot and season.
  • Step 7
    Add the polenta and whisk continuously for 3-4 minutes until you have a creamy texture.
  • Step 8
    Add the grated parmesan and a bit more milk if you need to.
  • Step 9
    Serve the polenta with the meatballs and sauce.
  • Step 10
    Season and add a bit of fresh basil on top. Serve!
