Finely chop the onions. - Step 2
Wash, peel and chop the carrots in small cubes. - Step 3
In a large pot, add a bit of olive oil and cook the onions for 1 minute. - Step 4
Next add, the lemon juice, tumeric, carrots. Mix. - Step 5
Then grains, 1.5 cups of water per person, vegetable stock cube and tomato paste, salt and pepper. - Step 6
Mix and cover and simmer on a low heat for 30 minutes. - Step 7
Once cooked, season to taste. - Step 8
Optional: add a bit of cream or coconut milk if you have any and serve!
