Honey-sesame Shrimp

  • Step 1
    Peel & finely mince the onions.
  • Step 2
    In a pot of salted boiling water, cook the rice according to package instructions. Once cooked through, drain the rice & set aside.
  • Step 3
    Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan, over medium heat. Add the onions & sauté for 2-3 min, while stirring.
  • Step 4
    If needed, shell the shrimp. Add them in the pan with the grated garlic. Season with salt & pepper. Cook for another 2 min.
  • Step 5
    Add the lime juice, honey & sesame seeds. Stir & reduce for 3 minutes, or until the mixture starts to caramelize.* *Check out our tips for this step

    Serve the fluffy rice with the honey & sesame shrimp. Garnish with extra sesame seeds, if you have some left over. Enjoy !

For a truly flavoursome dish, we suggest adding some coconut milk towards the end of cooking the shrimp for a creamier sauce.
