Homemade pizza dough

Ingredients for 1 pâte à pizza

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, mix : the yeast, sugar, 10cl of lukewarm water & 50g of flour (quantity for 1 pizza dough). Set aside for 15 minutes.
  • Step 2
    In another large bowl, mix : the remaining water (5cl for 1 pizza dough) & 1 teaspoon of salt. Pour in the oil & mix again.
  • Step 3
    Pour in the yeast mixture into the second bowl. Mix
  • Step 4
    Add in the remaining flour little by little while mixing, until a dough forms.
  • Step 5
    Knead the dough for about 15 minutes, until it is smooth & supple.
  • Step 6
    Place the dough ball into a large bowl & cover with a damp cloth or some cling film. Leave to rise in a warm spot for at least 1h. The dough should double or triple in size.
  • Step 7
    Once the dough has risen, degas it. On a clean surface, remove the air bubbles in the dough by pressing down on it with your hands, stretching it out & flipping it over.
  • Step 8
    Preheat the oven to 240°C. Sprinkle flour on a clean surface & work the dough into your desired shape.
  • Step 9
    Place the pizza dough onto a pizza pan or a tray with baking paper. Garnish the pizza with the toppings of your choice.
  • Step 10
    Bake in the oven for 10 mins at 240°C.
  • Step 11
    Remove the pizza from the oven. Enjoy !
