In a saucepan, add the butter and melt it over low heat. Then add the flour and mix quickly. Cook the roux for 2-3 min while stirring. (It should brown) - Step 2
Gradually add the milk, stirring continuously for 6-8 min, until you get a slightly thick pancake batter texture. - Step 3
Add salt, pepper and a little grated nutmeg (optional), then mix. It's ready!
