recipe
- Step 1
First, spread the cream cheese on each slice of bread. Then, add the thinly sliced or grated cheese. - Step 2
Add a slice of ham, salt, pepper, and then close the sandwich. Repeat as necessary depending on how many sandwiches you’re making. - Step 3
In a pan on medium heat, add a pat of butter (or a drizzle of olive oil) and brown the sandwich for two minutes on each side until golden. Butter and oil can heat the bread up pretty quickly, so be careful not to burn it! - Step 4
Turn off the stove, remove the pan from the burner, cover the pan, and let the sandwich sit for about 1 minute. - Step 5
Cut your sandwich. (Will you go for squares or triangles?) Optional: Sprinkle on a couple of finely chopped chives, and enjoy your sandwich warm!
