- Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Roughly chop the hazelnuts. - Step 2
In a mixing bowl, add : the flour & baking powder. Whisk to combine. - Step 3
Add the eggs. Season with salt & pepper. Whisk to combine. - Step 4
Add the olive oil & whisk to combine. Add the milk & whisk once more, until you obtain a smooth and homogenous texture. - Step 5
Add : the grated cheese, onion jam, chopped hazelnuts (set some aside to decorate the loaf) & crumbled goat's cheese. Stir to combine, using a spatula. - Step 6
Grease a loaf tin (we used a 29 x 10 cm dish here) & pour the cake batter into the tin. Garnish the top with the reserved chopped hazelnuts & bake for 45-50 min at 180°C. - Step 7
Once the loaf is golden, plant the tip of a knife into the center of the loaf. If it comes out clean, the loaf is ready, otherwise, bake it for another 2-3 min. Enjoy the Goat's Cheese, Caramelized Onion & Hazelnut Loaf with a green salad !
