Garlic Teriyaki Meatballs with Rice

  • Step 1
    Peel & finely mince the garlic.
  • Step 2
    Wash & slice the broccoli into florets.
  • Step 3
    In a pot of salted boiling water, add the broccoli. Cook for 4-5 min. Once cooked through, drain the broccoli & keep warm.

    Meanwhile, heat the rice according to package instructions.
  • Step 5
    Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan, over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs & brown on all sides until the meatballs are fully heated through, about 5-6 min.

    Add a few tablespoons of water & the minced garlic to the pan. Cook until the water is mostly evaporated, about 1 min. Then, add the teriyaki sauce, honey & an additional few tablespoons of water. Cook for 2-3 min until the sauce is thick & bubbly.
  • Step 7
    Serve the meatballs in a plate with the broccoli & fluffy rice. Top the meatballs with the remaining garlic-teriyaki sauce & sprinkle the dish with sesame seeds, if you have some. Re-season to taste & enjoy !
