Garlic Teriyaki Meatballs with Rice

Meatballs (cooked)

70 g
Brown rice (long grain, cooked)

100 g
Broccoli (fresh)

1 tbsp
Teriyaki sauce

1 tsp
Honey

1/2 clove

- Step 1
Peel & finely mince the garlic. - Step 2
Wash & slice the broccoli into florets. - Step 3
In a pot of salted boiling water, add the broccoli. Cook for 4-5 min. Once cooked through, drain the broccoli & keep warm. - Step 4
Meanwhile, heat the rice according to package instructions. - Step 5
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a pan, over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs & brown on all sides until the meatballs are fully heated through, about 5-6 min. - Step 6
Add a few tablespoons of water & the minced garlic to the pan. Cook until the water is mostly evaporated, about 1 min. Then, add the teriyaki sauce, honey & an additional few tablespoons of water. Cook for 2-3 min until the sauce is thick & bubbly. - Step 7
Serve the meatballs in a plate with the broccoli & fluffy rice. Top the meatballs with the remaining garlic-teriyaki sauce & sprinkle the dish with sesame seeds, if you have some. Re-season to taste & enjoy !
