  • Step 1
    Cut the head of cabbage in half, then slice thinly.
  • Step 2
    In a pot, add the lardons and minced or grated garlic and sauté for 2 minutes over medium heat.
  • Step 3
    Add the cabbage and mix.
  • Step 4
    Cover with water (about 1 cup/250ml per portion).
  • Step 5
    Season with salt and pepper and bring to a boil, then cover and simmer over medium-low heat for 15 minutes.
  • Step 6
    After 15 minutes, add the beans and simmer, covered, for another 5 minutes.

    Adjust seasonings to taste.
