- Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Peel & cut the potatoes into fries. Rinse them thoroughly, then drain the fries. - Step 2
Add the fries to a mixing bowl. Season with a drizzle of olive oil, salt & pepper. mix well. - Step 3
Add the fries to a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for 40 min at 200°C. - Step 4
Meanwhile, cut the comté cheese into slices. - Step 5
In a bowl, add the beef patty. Season with salt & pepper. Mix well then re-shape the beef into a patty. - Step 6
Heat a small drizzle of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the burger buns & toast them for 2 min until lightly brown. Set aside. - Step 7
Heat a drizzle of olive oil, in the same pan over medium heat. Add the beef patties & cook for 2 min on one side. - Step 8
Flip the patties on the other side. Add the slices of comté cheese on top. Cover & continue cooking for 2 min until the cheese is melted. - Step 9
Prepare the burger by spreading mustard on the bottom bun. Add the salad & the steak with the melted cheese on top. Spread the caramelized onions on the top bun & close the burger. - Step 10
Once the fries are cooked through & golden brown, take them out of the oven. Serve the French burger on a plate with the fries. Enjoy!
