  • Step 1
    Épluchez, lavez et coupez les pommes de terre en deux.
  • Step 2
    Fill the bowl of the Digicook with 2 cups of water. Peel, wash, and chop the potatoes, then place them in the cooking basket. Place it in the mixing bowl, insert the measuring cup, and cook for 20 minutes on the steam setting.
  • Step 3
    Meanwhile, mince the shallots. Add a 1/3 of the butter to a hot frying pan and cook them for 2 minutes. Add a bit of water and leave it to evaporate. Chop up some chives if you have any and put them to the side.
  • Step 4
    Once the water has evaporated, add the steak to a frying pan and cook for 2 minutes on each side for medium rare. (It's a thinner cut of steak so it cooks fast, so if you like your steak rare or medium, be sure not to cook it for too long!)
  • Step 5
    Remove the cooking basket, empty the water from the blender bowl and put the cooked potatoes in it. Then add the milk and 1/3 of the butter and replace the measuring cup. Chop for 5 seconds / speed 6.
  • Step 6
    Remove the meat from the pan. Add a bit of water into the pan with another 1/3 of the butter to make the sauce. When the butter is melted and browned, the sauce is done.
  • Step 7
    (Optional: Mix the chives into the mashed potato if you have any.) Plate your mashed potatoes with your flank steak, top with the shallots and drizzle the sauce over the top. And enjoy!
