  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 220°C. Peel, then slice the potatoes into rounds.
  • Step 2
    Peel, then thinly slice the onions.
  • Step 3
    In a pot of salted boiling water, add the potatoes & coo for 10-12 min. Once cooked through, drain & set aside.
  • Step 4
    Meanwhile, cook the onions with the lardons, some pepper and cook 2 to 3 minutes until golden. Pour the white wine into the pan.
  • Step 5
    Deglaze with white wine. Stir & continue cooking until the wine is fully absorbed.

    Cut the cheese into slices.
  • Step 7
    In a baking dish (we used a 24 x 17 cm dish here), add a layer of potatoes, then a layer of 'lardons' & onions. Repeat & end with a layer of crème fraîche & cheese. Season with pepper & bake for 15-20 min at 220°C.
  • Step 8
    Once the cheese is melted & golden brown, take the dish out of the oven. Serve the 'Tartiflette' on a plate with a side of salad, seasoned to taste. Enjoy !
