Corn (canned)

- Step 1
Peel & slice the onions in halves. - Step 2
In the Digicook bowl, add : the onions & garlic. Close the lid with the measuring lid on & mix on speed 5 / 15 sec, then scrape down the sides with a spatula. - Step 3
Add a drizzle of olive oil. Close the lid without the measuring lid on & set the reverse program : 120°C / speed 2 / 2 min. - Step 4
Meanwhile, peel & small dice the potatoes. - Step 5
Add the potatoes, drained sweetcorn, ground turmeric, stock cube & 180ml of water per person to the Digicook bowl. Stir & set the reverse program : 100°C / speed 1 / 20 min. - Step 6
Meanwhile, in a hot pan, add the bacon strips. Grill for 2 min, over high heat, until golden & crispy. Set aside on a paper-lined plate. - Step 7
Once cooked through, stir in the cream. - Step 8
Serve the corn chowder in a bowl. Top with the crispy bacon & fresh basil, if you have some. Re-season to taste & enjoy !
