Cherry Tomato Tart

- Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. In a pan on high heat, add the soy sauce, sugar* and butter. Reduce until the sauce thickens and caramelizes. *Check out our tips for this step - Step 2
Wash the tomatoes and cut them in half. - Step 3
Cover the bottom of a pie dish with parchment paper. - Step 4
Pour the caramel sauce in the bottom of the dish and evenly distribute the tomatoes. - Step 5
Cover with the puff pastry, folding the edges inward. - Step 6
Cut the crust a few times with a knife (to allow air to escape when cooking) and bake for 20 minutes at 200°C. - Step 7
Once golden brown, remove the tart from the oven. Allow to cool for 15-20 min or completely before flipping. Once cooled down, flip the tart, by placing a large plate over the pie dish. Holding both dishes tightly together, flip them in one swift motion. Be careful! There might be some juices left in the pan. - Step 8
Top with some fresh basil & serve with a side of green salad. Enjoy !
Recipe tip
If you wish to reduce sugar quantities, you can remove up to ⅓ of the sugar in this recipe without altering flavor.
