recipe
- Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Wash & cut the cauliflower into florets. Small dice the stems & add them to your dish or use them in a soup. - Step 2
In a pot of salted boiling water, add the cauliflower. Cover & cook for 10 min, over medium heat. - Step 3
Meanwhile, prepare the bechamel sauce. In a pot, melt the butter, over low heat. Stir in the flour. - Step 4
Add the milk in little by little, stirring continuously, until the sauce thickens. Season with salt, pepper & grated nutmeg (optional). Stir to combine. - Step 5
Once the cauliflower is tender, drain it. - Step 6
In an oven-proof dish (we used a 24 x 19 cm dish here), add the cauliflower & season to taste. Top with the bechamel sauce & grated cheese. Bake in the oven for 25-30 min at 20°C. - Step 7
Once the cheese has melted & the top is golden brown, remove the dish from the oven. Serve the cauliflower cheese with a side of green salad & enjoy !
