Peel the apples and cut them into quarters. - Step 2
Heat the butter and sugar together in a pan, mixing until the butter is melted and the sugar dissolves. - Step 3
Add the apples and cook over low heat for 15 minutes, turning occasionally, or until the apples are golden brown. - Step 4
When the apples are done cooking, add a pinch of cinnamon and stir once more, then remove from heat. - Step 5
Place a spoonful of crème fraîche on a plate and add the caramelized apples. Sprinkle with a bit more cinnamon and a pinch of fleur de sel (optional). It's ready!
