- Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the pie crust pastry in a pie dish (we used a 31 cm diameter dish here). Pierce the surface of the dough with a fork and bake for 5 minutes. - Step 2
Meanwhile, roughly chop the beets. - Step 3
In a mixing bowl, add the eggs, cream, salt and pepper and whisk to combine. - Step 4
When the crust is done, remove it from the oven. Add the beets, crumbled goat cheese, chopped walnuts and some onion jam (optional). - Step 5
Pour the egg-cream mixture into the crust. - Step 6
Cut any excess parchment paper around the edges and bake at 180°C for 45 minutes. Serve with a green salad, it's ready!
