recipe
- Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the onion rings on a parchment lined sheet tray. Bake according to package instructions. - Step 2
Meanwhile, melt a dab of butter in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the burger buns & toast them for 2 min. Set aside. - Step 3
In the same pan, cook the bacon for 2 min on each side or until crisp to your liking, over high heat. Transfer the bacon to a plate lined with a paper towel. - Step 4
Meanwhile, prepare the burger patties. In a mixing bowl, add the minced beef. Season with salt & pepper & form patties, using your hands. - Step 5
Meanwhile, heat a drizzle of olive oil in a second pan, over medium-high heat. Add the burger patties & season them with salt & pepper. Cook for 2 min on one side, then flip them over & add the cheddar cheese on top. Cover & leave to cook for another 2 min, over medium heat, until the cheese has melted. - Step 6
Once golden & crispy, remove the onion rings from the oven. - Step 7
Assemble the burger by spreading the BBQ sauce onto both buns. Add the lettuce, burger patty, crispy bacon & 2 onion rings on top. Close the burger with the top bun & serve with the onion rings. Enjoy !
