Asian style sliced beef & broccoli

- Step 1
Wash the broccoli, remove the stem and cut into florets. Keep 2-3 pieces raw to add at the end. - Step 2
Add the broccoli to a pot of salted boiling water and cook for 8 minutes. - Step 3
In the meantime, add a drizzle of olive oil to a pan on high heat. Cook the beef for 1 minute on each side for rare) or longer depending on how you like your meat cooked). - Step 4
Just before flipping the beef, add the soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, and sugar to the pan. - Step 5
Once the steak is cooked, remove it from the heat and let the sauce reduce while cooling slightly. - Step 6
Drain the broccoli and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking. - Step 7
Place the broccoli in a bowl and pour some of the sauce on top of it (keep the rest of the sauce for serving). - Step 8
Cut the remaining raw broccoli in thin slices. - Step 9
Cut the steak into strips. - Step 10
Add the broccoli, beef and raw broccoli to a large plate. Top with the remaining sauce, peanuts, salt & pepper. Serve and enjoy!
